Collection of Bashkir folk tales is published in Moscow

The book "Magic Duck" was published in the series "Round dance of fairy tales" of the publishing house "Children's and Youth Book". Komi-Permyak, Tuvan, Tatar, Yakut fairy tales, as well as fairy tales of the peoples of the North were published in different years in these series.

The compilers of the collection are a veteran of pedagogical work, local historian Raiza Akhmadrakhimova and a folklorist, candidate of philological sciences, senior lecturer at the Ufa University of Science and Technology (BashGU) Olesya Akhmadrakhimova. Bright meaningful illustrations for the works were done by a native of Bashkortostan - artist Yana Pchelkina.

– It is noteworthy that the book was published on the eve of National Unity Day and the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. We chose fairy tales that tell us about the life, traditions, history of the Bashkir people, works about the geographical objects of the republic. It is good to read them aloud, and then discuss the actions of the characters together. Reading of one fairy tale will take 10-15 minutes,” said Olesya Akhmadrakhimova.

“The cultural world” web portal is the only media to tell about Bashkir culture. It also highlights the achievements of famous people in the republic, tells about young artists.
